Family Fun Day

A chance for the whole church family to come together for a fun afternoon. Held on Lincolnshire Showground, this afternoon will have something for everyone. We will have bouncy castles, BBQs, picnics, sports and games, face-painting, Tea marquee, music and entertainment, bungee run, hotdogs and ample free parking. The afternoon begins at 2pm and will finish at 6pm. This is agreat opportunity to invite your friends and for the whole church to come together for a great afternoon out.

New Life Contemporary Worship Choir Concert

At 4:30pm on Sunday 11th July we invite you to join with us as the new Life Contemporary Worship Choir give a very special performance.

In aid of our Make A Difference campaign 2010 we are hosting this concert in Main Church which will be followed by Strawberries and Cream in the courtyard (at a small charge).

This concert REPLACES our evening service therefore there will be NO 6:30pm service this week.

Our church’s opportunity to Make A Difference in the lives of those living locally, regionally and across the world. This year through Make A Difference we will be supporting charities such as ACTS, Betel UK, Christian Partners in Africa, ROAD, Christian Against Poverty and many others. On Sunday 4th July we have our annual M.A.D services where there will be opportunity to give a one off gift or make a pledge to support M.A.D throughout the year. Keynote Speakers

Duane White
Duane and Kris White have traveled the world preaching and teaching the promises of God. They founded Beyond These Shores (a missions network) in 2000 and have trained thousands of leaders, funded micro-business empowerment projects, equipped and resourced missionaries and taken hundreds of people on short-term missions trips. Born with a severe cleft lip and palette, Duane was told he would never be able to speak without impediment. As an international speaker and author, he now miraculously uses his communication skills to teach and challenge people to fulfill their God-given destiny.

Stuart Bell
Stuart is the senior leader of New life Lincoln, a growing church of 1000+. He is also leader of the Groundlevel network, a network of 80+ churches.

Howard Williams
Howard is Worship Pastor at New Life. He heads up a team of 100+ musicians, singers, choir members and technicians, who make up the New Life Worship Team. Howard is extremely passionate about building local church and has a strong desire to see people fulfilled in their destiny.  Howard is also musical director for the Grapevine international celebration. Howard is married to Claire and they have 2 sons, Ethan and Nathanael.

Together for Prayer

On Saturday 12th June we are holding a day of prayer from 9:00am - 7:00pm in main church.

We are looking to bring the church together throughout the day for prayer. Each ‘hour’ of the day will be overseen by a different group within the church, which will mean that the day is fast moving, innovative, fun and dynamic.

We would love it if you could join in with the ‘hour’ that is most relevant to you but also to give one other ‘hour’ during the day to support another department.

During the day we are planning on creating a ‘prayer wall’ which can be added to by any group or any individual. There will be a section for requests, answers and prophetic words, we are hoping that the ‘wall’ can be filled throughout the day.

The program for the event will be as follows…

9:00 - 9:30 Corporate gathering for Prayer and worship
9:30 - 10:30 Xplode
10:30 - 11:30 Elevate
11:30 - 12:30 Evergreens
12:30 - 1:30 ACTS
1:30 - 2:30 Inspirit
2:30 - 3:30 Street pastors / NHS / prison ministries etc.
3:30 - 4:30 Energize

5:30 - 6:30 Groundlevel / Lincoln Connection / City Focus
6:30 - 7:00 Corporate gathering

We aim to open and close the 10 hours with 30 mins of ‘Church out Loud’ prayer, which will be God focused and dynamic. We would love it if as many of the church as possible could gather for these 2 half hour sessions to pray for our church, city and network.

Please feel free to ask any questions. or speak directly with your department leader for specific information regarding your preferred ‘hour’.

Chris Eaton - Eternal Hymn’s concert

We are delighted to host Chris Eaton during his 2010 Eternal Hymn’s tour. Chris will be using a local band, vocal team and ‘city churches’ choir.
Doors open at 7:00pm and the concert will begin at 7:30pm.
Free entry and suitable for all.

The following information is taken from Chris Eaton’s latest publicity.

Esteemed British singer songwriter, Chris Eaton, has created new music for the hymns of Charles Wesley, some of which he recently performed at the Royal Albert Hall. They are at the heart of this tour. Chris, who is an eight-time BMI Christian Music Award winner, has spent the last 2 decades writing songs for some of the best in pop and Christian Music. He has had his songs recorded by Amy Grant, Jessica Simpson, Vince Gill, Casting Crowns, Janet Jackson and Cliff Richard to name just a few. A highlight of 2009 was ‘Golden’ being chosen by Sir Cliff as the theme for his 50th anniversary World Tour.

Concert with Alwyn Wall

Alwyn became a Christian in July 1968 at the age of 18. He grew up in the 60’s and was playing guitar in local rock ‘n roll bands from the age of 14, in his native home of Sutton-in-Ashfield in Nottinghamshire. During this period Alwyn and his long time friend (Malcolm Wild) began travelling over England and Europe and the States, releasing two studio albums ‘Fools Wisdom’ and ‘Wildwall’. It was at this time that Malcolm and Alwyn, as a gospel duo, found themselves in the US to experience and be a part of the revival that took place there in the early 70’s. which became known at that time as the ‘Jesus Movement’. Alwyn went on to form the ‘Alwyn Wall Band’ and release another album ‘The Prize’. Alwyn was later invited to the States to be pastor of Calvary Chapel Vero Beach in Florida. After about a year of ministry Alwyn returned to the United Kingdom, unable to stay in the States because of visa difficulties. It was at this point Alwyn was asked to become the worship leader at a church plant that was to be established in Westminster, London. Alwyn agreed to come alongside and help with the work there, then after a couple of years was asked to take on the role of being the senior pastor. Since that time Alwyn has been the pastor of Calvary Chapel Westminster; a church of something like 600 people. Alwyn is married to Gloria (whom he met at the age of 14) and together they have 2 children.

The current Alwyn Wall band members are as follows: The legendary Norman Barratt – Lead Guitar + Vocals, Jan Wall – Acoustic Guitar + Vocals, Chris Gaskell – Keyboards + Vocals, Ray Stewart – Bass Guitar and Tom Hooper – Drums. This has been the line up for about the past 10 years now. The band’s appearances in the UK have been very rare for many years as they have been mostly performing in the USA. The concert at Lincoln on 27th February 2010 is the first widely publicized opportunity for fans and other interested parties from the UK to see this superb band. It is also a chance for many to take a trip down memory lane and relive the sounds of their “youth” – groovy baby!!!

Paul has been in Christian ministry and leadership for 30 years. He is a passionate communicator with an particular emphasis on helping people understand God’s ways to make their lives most effective. Paul serves as the principal of Mattersey Hall college.

Paul Reid
Paul Reid is the leader of the Lifelink Team. He is senior pastor of Christian Fellowship Church Belfast. Paul is committed to reconciliation in his own country and to the principle of the Unity of all believers which he sees as essential if we are going to effectively reach the world.

Stuart Bell
