Safety & Security
We ask that all children aged 0 – 7 are accompanied to the start of each session. Once the child is registered with the team we encourage parents / carers to return to the main service with the exception of Dynamite Baby Lounge. We ask parents / carers to collect their children promptly at the end of the service. We will only allow children to leave with their parent or carer.
Nappy Changing & Bathroom Policies
Presently our volunteers and staff do not change nappies. We will contact you during the service if your child needs their nappy changing. Children are encouraged to go to the toilet before attending the session, however for any child needing the toilet during a session they will be accompanied by a female member of the volunteer staff.
Structure & Take Home
We offer loving care in our nursery and age-appropriate lessons and activities for all children. Each group will provide you with a take-home sheet of what your child learned that week for you to review with your child. Each department uses an approved New Life curriculum and take-home materials from the lesson. Older children are encouraged to learn memory verses each week and to participate in basic bible study activities whilst at home. Once a year your child will receive a report card outlining their progress that year. We fully encourage parents to be involved in all areas of your child’s development and are delighted to chat about your child’s progress at any point during the year. Please come and see your child’s team leader after a service.
Snacks
At Xplode we offer snacks to all children whilst they are with us. We encourage healthy eating and the snacks we offer are in line with this. Most weeks children will be offered fruit. Occasionally, with older children, sweets will be used as prizes for team games and activities. All parents are asked to complete a consent form, where it is possible to indicate any allergies / food intolerances for your child.

All Volunteers considered in our volunteer to child ratios are above the age of 18 and all volunteers have completed a CRB check.
