Van Delivery and Collection
Many of the Acts projects have clients/guests who at various times may need help requiring a van/large car but do not access to one. This may include donations of furniture, or help with moving. We need volunteers who have regular access to a van or large vehicle to collect and/or deliver furniture, large boxes or other items for Acts projects, clients etc. It helps if you are able to be flexible and available for collections/deliveries at weekends, afternoons and evenings, though this is not essential.
This will be as and when required depending on your availability.

Foodbank
Foodbank is looking for some confident, committed volunteers to help out the Distribution Centre on Newark road, and also at our soon-to-open Centre in the Addaction building on Newland, opposite Newlife. In this role you will be talking with clients who have been referred by other agencies for a food parcel, taking them through a questionnaire designed to identify any other needs they may have, and using a resources book to signpost them on to other agencies that may be able to provide further assistance. The aim of the Foodbank team is not only to feed, but also to see our clients take the necessary steps to regain their independence.If you have a heart for the hungry and a desire to see people move forward, then this may be for you! All volunteers will need to be CRB checked.
Addaction - Tues, Thurs 2.00-4.00pm, Newark Road - Mon, Weds, Thurs 2.00-4.00pm.

Welcome Team
We the ‘Welcome Team’ are the first to greet and welcome people into our church on a Sunday.Being part of the welcome team is ideal for those new to the church as well as those who have been with us a long time. It is a great way to get involved and meet new friends. As long as you are able to smile and make others feel welcome you have the makings of being a good member! We are currently seeking new volunteers to join our team. So if you are someone with a warm personality, friendly smile, and would enjoy being part of a great team, please contact us.
One or two services once a month.
Our aim is to create a positive first impression and give a warm welcome to each individual, every time they come through the door of New Life Church, by greeting them with a friendly smile and handshake, ensuring that they feel welcomed to the Church and into the family of Jesus. In addition we aim to assist the leaders in the smooth running of the meetings.
