New Life Metheringham exists to support and develop friendships with individuals and families in Metheringham & the surrounding villages to spread the fame of Jesus across these rural communities.
Our aim is to help bring positive change to the local community, and as a group we focus our energies around exploring and developing:
- Our relationship with God
- Our relationship with the church community
- Our relationship with the broader non-church community
Developing genuine community
The early church existed with a dynamic tension: it was both expanding and consolidating - growing and unifying. The Bible tells us that these first century believers “shared everything in common” and that “the church was being added to day by day”. Gathering as a New Life group in Metheringham, we aspire to live in this same tension. The body of Christ (the church) is centred on community; and our aim is to grow meaningful relationships by building community and a sense of belonging.

Jesus didn’t force rules and regulations on people; he simply loved them and showed an alternative way of living. Our aim is to do the same and we would love to spend some time getting to know you.
