In 1983 two churches in Lincoln came together to form New Life Christian Fellowship. These two churches were ‘Evangel Church’, an Assemblies of God church under the leadership of John Shelbourne assisted by John Phillips and ‘Lincoln Free Church’ which was under the leadership of Stuart Bell. The newly formed church benefited from the background of both churches and found a new identity with a vision to reach the city and region.
